  • A:NovellaMate is a literary companion device that delivers personalized quotes from books and films based on your time, weather, and emotional preferences. Unlike smart speakers or traditional alarm clocks, it focuses on nurturing your inner world through daily curated content.

  • A: As of now, NovellaMate has over 180,000 time-related quotes, 150,000 weather-themed quotes and 90,000 inspirational lines and the number is continuously increasing everyday . We offer three types of quotes daily and you can swipe the screen to swith the 3 different types:

    • Time Quotes (updated every minute)

    • Weather Quotes (updated 3 times a day, with 10 quotes per update)

    • Inspiration Quotes (10 daily quotes curated by our algorithm based on your preferences)

  • A: Yes. NovellaMate will read quotes aloud in warm voices. We will support more voice types in the near future according to the feedback of users.

  • The only difference is storage: the 16GB model holds approximately 420,000 quotes, while the 8GB version stores around 210,000.

Setup & Operation

  • A: No. NovellaMate is designed to be app-free. All interactions are handled through its touch interface — no smartphone required.

  • A: Upon setup, you can set your favorite authors, directors, themes, and styles. The intelligent algorithm will learn your preferences and refine your quote recommendations over time.

  • A: Yes. NovellaMate connects via Wi-Fi and automatically syncs your local time and weather to generate the appropriate quote content.

  • A: Not yet. We currently supports English only. But we are going to support French, German, and Spanish in the near future.

Hardware & Availability

  • A: NovellaMate does not have a battery. It is powered by an external DC adapter (included in the box), and designed to stay on your nightstand.

  • A: It measures about 18 × 12 × 6 cm and features a walnut and leather like appearance, 7” anti-glare touch display, and minimalist, vintage-inspired design.

  • A:NovellaMate will launch the crowdfunding this fall, 2025 and shipment in November this year to meet the Christmas. Join our waitlist to access early-bird pricing and limited editions.

  • United States(excluding overseas territories), Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia. We will be offering correct power plug options for the above regions. More countries will be announced when the crowdfunding goes live.

  • No. If you pre-order now, you’ll receive lifetime access to quote updates at no extra charge. Only regular buyers after the pre-sale will need to subscribe for updates.

  • You'll receive confirmation of your early bird reservation and updates on production. When crowdfunding goes live, we'll notify you to complete your payment of $198 for 8GB reservation, or $218 for 16GB reservation.

  • Yes, your $1 is fully refundable within 7 days if you change your mind. After that, it will be applied to your final payment.
